El desarrollo del trigrillo sigue viento en popa, esta etapa es algo demorada y se demoraran en aparecer fotos significativas, espero que las primeras ya se vea una silueta que sugiera la geometria del fuselaje.

The development of the Tigrillo keeps with a great cadence, this stage is a little bit slow, i'm waiting to get some really significative pictures to show in which you will be able to see the geometry of the fuselage.

Fuselaje Modelo - Fuselage Mock up

Ya con las cargas de vuelo determinadas el próximo paso es comenzar el cálculo estructural final con el dimensionamiento detallado de todos los componentes, por eso para este paso es necesaria la elaboración de un Modelo escala 1:1 para poder comprobar el espacio interior y la ergonomía que ofrece la cabina, de manera que de ser necesario el hacer modificación se pueda realizar en una fase temprana del desarrollo.

Once the flight loads are determined the next step is proceed with the structural design, sizing the components and parts, which is why at this stage is necessary the elaboration of a Mock-Up scale 1:1 in order to prove the cockpit's size as well as its ergonomic, so if there is necessary do any modification it could be carry out in an earlier stage of the development.

Después de un semestre muy largo en la maestría, superado con un promedio superior al 4.5 se vuelve a retomar con todo vigor el desarrollo del EFA-100 Tigrillo.

After a really long semester of the magister, conquered with an average over 4.5 the development of the EFA-100 Tigrillo is take again with all the vigor.

Structure Update - Actualizacion Estructural

Is at consideration the possible modifycation of the aircraft in order to be able to acomodate a 220lb pilot plus the balistic parachute; this will enlarge the Wto to around 600 lb trying to remain the same configuration, I believe it will be a really great improvement for the Tigrillo because this will make more accessible the plane to all kind of pilots.

Se está considerando la modificación de la aeronave con el objetivo de poder recibir a un piloto de 220 lb (100 Kg) más el paracaidas balístico, lo cual aumentará el Wto alrededor de 600 lb -tratando de mantener la misma configuración-. Creo que esta modificación será muy acertada para el Tigrillo dado que lo hará más accesible a todos los pilotos de la comunidad aeronáutica.

Un nuevo semestre de la Maestria - A New Semester of the Magister

A comenzado un nuevo semestre de la Maestria en Ingenieria Mecanica en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, por esto el ritmo del desarrollo de la aeronave se desacelerara de manera que se pueda cumplir con los requisitos academicos.

A new semester of the Master in Mechanical Engineering has begun at the National University of Colombia, which is why the rhythm of the aircraft development will be lessen in order to fulfill the academics requirements.

Performance calculado bajo atmosfera estandar (ISA), para diferentes configuraciones, peso maximo de despegue/aterrizaje y un peso operacional medio (WOPM) definido como la mitad de la carga paga y del combustible.

The performance was calculated under ISA conditions for two types of weight loads, gross weight for take-off and landing and an operational weight (WOPM) which is half of payload and Fuel.
